The Senior Link organizes four annual events. The Pink Tulip Tea Party, The Victoria Field Trip, the Summer Barbecue, and our Christmas Luncheon. We encourage all seniors to attend these events. You will find them informative, entertaining and a great place to meet with others. Many community suppliers are generous contributors to the barbecue and the Christmas Lunch. These same suppliers provide door prizes that we award during these events.
This annual event is a spring celebration where are theme is pink and flowers. The success of our first Pink Tulip Tea Party, held in 2009, convinced the society to make this an annual event. Plans are well underway for 2011. We encourage you to phone 604-271-4427 to R.S.V.P as there are lots of entertainers, prizes, and good times to be found this year.
Over the years, the destination for the summer field trip has changed. Rather than choosing a particular destination we now make the day's event a mystery. We can guarantee that you will have fun and that there will be plenty of surprises for you to enjoy.
This Annual event takes place at the end of August or beginning of September. The Summer Barbecue of 2010 was cancelled due to poor weather conditions. In 2011 we have chosen a Hawaian theme. Find your old Hawaiian shirts and Leis, and come ready to party. If the rain gods decide to show up, we will move the party indoors.
Our annual Christmas Buffet is held within Richmond and takes place during the last week of November or the first week of December.
