The Annual Summer Barbecue takes place in one of the local Richmond Parks and is usually held toward the end of August. The barbecue relies heavily on volunteers who canvas the local merchants for door prizes and a variety of foods and beverages.  Volunteers also cook and prepare the hotdogs and hamburgers.  We have discovered that the highly variable weather at this time of year means that we need a location where we can continue the festivities indoors if necessary.  The 2011 barbecue will be held at the  Richmond Alliance Church and the festivities will go ahead come rain or shine.  If the weather turns wet, we will enjoy our hamburgers and hotdogs indoors in the auditorium.  If sunny skies prevail, then the festivities will all take place outdoors.  Lots of entertainment, prizes, surprises and fun!
